This unique architectural wonder is located on the Passerpromenade and is a true landmark of modern Merano. The Art Nouveau facility is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful buildings in the Alps.
This impressive 19th century structure serves both as an entertainment
center for spa guests and as a headquarters for the spa management. It
also houses a casino and is famous for a number of firsts: in 1898,
visitors walking along the promenade at dusk were amazed to see a bright
white light flooding out of the Kurhaus as electricity was introduced
to Merano.
Today, tourists are amazed at the elegant foyer with its marvelous staircase, a gallery and an impressive hall for concerts and balls that regularly hosts the world’s great symphony orchestras.
This museum gives visitors a short, tongue in cheek historical look at 200 years of tourism in South Tyrol. The Touriseum is located in the botanical gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle
